  • Senior Project Manager

    About the role

    We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead customer engagement and ensure business requirements - scope, time, budget and quality - are efficiently detailed while planning, controlling and managing enterprise projects.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Provide on-time project reporting and proactively manage changes in scope
    • Identify potential risks and devise contingency plans
    • Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members to take positive action and accountability for the assigned work
    • Build, develop, and grow business relationships with stakeholders to ensure project success 
    • Apply critical thinking and geospatial analysis to overcome challenges
    • Contribute to full SDLC including participating in requirements studies, solutioning, development and application support and maintenance
    • Pro-actively stay updated on the latest ArcGIS and relevant technology trends and developments

    About you

    We are looking for strategic, tactical, and agile thinkers who have strong leadership and demonstrated ability to engage and grow successful, sustainable teams. 

    You must be resilient, patient yet tenacious in growing our customers and our business. You will also need to be able to mentor team members, enhance career development and progression and provide sound advice to internal and external senior executives, peers, and other team members. 

    Being a vendor sided position, and to perform in the capacity of Senior Project Manager requires tenacity, deep and detailed experience, commercial acumen, extensive agile delivery experience, intellect, presence, and self-awareness. 

    The Senior Project Manager is expected to bring extensive and high levels of experience, expertise, and discipline, in project management; and to have done so more preferably in the deployment of geospatial solutions, enterprise asset management solutions or enterprise resource planning solutions.

    • Tertiary education in fields related to Information Technology, GIS, Geography, or Engineering
    • 8 years’ experience in delivering enterprise software solutions, with at least 5 years as a project manager
    • Project Management certification (PMP, SCRUM, or equivalent)
    • Proven experience leading concurrent projects with direct responsibility for tracking and reporting on key metrics
    • Proven track record of successfully implementing software or web development projects or achieving operational excellence.
    • In-depth knowledge of key services operational policies, processes, and methodologies applicable to project management
    • Experience with geospatial datasets and data formats (such as DWG, DGN, BIM, 3DMax) is a strong advantage
    • Hands-on experience with enterprise software solution stacks and technologies with strong knowledge in at least one of the following:
      • Full-stack development: .NET, Python
      • Web technologies and framework: JavaScript, React, Bootstrap, AngularJS, CSS, HTML, PHP
      • RDBMS such as SQL Server or Oracle
      • ArcGIS or other GIS software technology (Preferred)
    • Native mobile application development experience with iOS and Android
    • Ability to exercise sound judgment and make timely and effective decisions to achieve outcomes and performance
    • Exemplary communications skills both oral and written; be able to communicate to a wide audience in pressured situations to manage scope and expectations.
