When she first joined Esri Singapore in a technical role, she was curious, capable, and eager to contribute. But it didn’t take long for her to realise that her strengths extended beyond the technical. She had a natural ability to bring people together, guide teams, and deliver outcomes that mattered.
I started in a technical role, but soon I realised I could work very well in a group and lead a team to deliver outcomes.
That was a turning point in her career.
With a true passion for collaboration and delivering real-world impact, Jiaxin was on her way to a new beginning with support from her managers who encouraged her to explore project management—a move that aligned perfectly with her collaborative nature and strategic mindset.
Supported by management, she began leading a diverse team of professionals to develop increasingly complex geospatial solutions that make a tangible difference—from improving operational efficiencies to helping communities access clean water.
So far, her journey reflects continuous growth and a deepening sense of purpose.
Turning location into actionable insights
What motivates Jiaxin is seeing how GIS tools transform geographic and operational data into actionable insights that improve the world in ways many might not notice.
