Mr. Dion Ng has been a dedicated member of the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) since 2021, starting his career as a Rota Commander at Punggol Fire Station. In this role, he led front-line personnel in emergency response operations, ensuring the safety of the community through efficient firefighting and rescue efforts.
In 2024, Dion transitioned to the Operations Department at HQ SCDF, where he plays a key role in advancing the organisation’s operational capabilities. He leads initiatives focused on terrain development and related technologies, which are integral to refining emergency response strategies and optimising resource allocation.
One of Dion's key projects is the Ops Terrain Mapping 2 (OTM2), an innovative initiative that harnesses advanced mapping technologies to deliver real-time, detailed terrain data to SCDF personnel. This enhances situational awareness and significantly improves operational efficiency during emergency scenarios.
