Lawrence Chew joined the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) in June 2021 and currently serves as an Engineer for MPA’s Digital Twin. He supports the development and integration of advanced geospatial data systems, bridging the gap between backend data pipelines and frontend visualisation interfaces. His work involves designing robust data architectures that collect and process real-time maritime data, transforming it into dynamic and user-friendly visual representations. This seamless integration of complex datasets ensures that key stakeholders have access to critical insights, enhancing operational efficiency and decision-making.
In addition to his core engineering responsibilities, Lawrence provides technical advisory support on geospatial analytics and applications, further strengthening MPA’s geospatial initiatives.
