North East Water’s blueprint for digital transformation
Facing aging technology infrastructure and lack of integration, North East Water sought a reliable and unified GIS to democratise vital data, improve outage management, reduce technical debt and support a mobile workforce.
Servicing a 20,000 square kilometre area in regional Australia, the organisation developed a full representation of the water network that was fast and scalable, enabling field crews to run a trace analysis in the aftermath of a pipe burst or leak – saving time and minimising outages.
The unified GIS created 306,000 synchronous assets – representing a significant upgrade to data quality. Learn how the transition vastly improved system uptime and the ability to inform the regional community of planned and unplanned outages.
